So it was kinda funny when I started to lay out the things for this video on the things you need to know to pass the Series 6 Exam and I was like OMG this is going to be soooooo long.   So I decided to break it into a couple of videos and there are currently two and I am working on a third.

The Series exam is so comprehensive but here is one of the problems and I think it might be why so many people fail it.  Don’t be scared but the pass rate for the Series 6 on the first try is under 50% or so the statistics say.   There are SO FEW QUESTIONS on the actual exam but they could be on literally so many topics so the weight of each question is ENORMOUS.

When I took mine I found there were insanely simple questions and then some really hard ones and then a couple of what I would really call “trick” questions that I didn’t catch until I went back on the review and I was like OMG I almost blew that one.

So full disclosure I studied for months for my Series 6 after I took my SIE because I was working full time and I had just switched jobs and I really think I took way too long.  Was I prepared, well you bet I was but I am 100% sure that I was over-prepared and could have taken the test sooner.
